What this system is

This system is a Windows Forms application for generating energy certificates for buildings, currently supporting non-residential structures under the 2016 Energy Conservation Ordinance and residential modules under 2020 and 2024 regulations. It facilitates data registration, validation via the DIBt web service, and PDF generation with configurable metadata. Recent updates have refined the logic for displaying greenhouse gas emissions and renewable energy details, while also adjusting licensing and startup UI behaviors.

How it got here

September 2025 — Initial release of the BBSR Energy Certificate Print Application

1 change.

The BBSR Druckapplikation (version 1.0.7) is now available. This Windows Forms application allows users to generate energy certificates (Energieausweis) for non-residential buildings under the 2016 Energy Conservation Ordinance (EnEV 2016). It supports multiple workflows, including data registration, certificate preview with validation, and final certificate generation. The tool connects to the DIBt web service for validation and includes a user interface with tabs for the certificate preview and server feedback, along with configurable PDF metadata and security settings.

February 2026 — BBSR Energy Certificate Print Tool v1.0.9: Dual Licensing and Updated Certificate Logic

1 change.

The BBSR Energieausweis-Druckapplikation has been updated to version 1.0.9 and is now dual-licensed under GPLv3 and MIT, allowing users to choose the license that best fits their needs. Functionally, the tool's certificate generation logic has been adjusted: the 2020 residential module now consistently displays greenhouse gas emissions for both new builds and modernizations, while the 2024 modules for both residential and non-residential buildings have shifted the condition for displaying renewable energy details from a general 'new installation' flag to specific heat demand share calculations. Additionally, the user interface behavior during startup has been refined to ensure the design mode is explicitly disabled and the progress bar is hidden immediately upon completion or error.

About this page

  • The score is its most recent published measurement, taken on 1 October 2026 at a pinned commit. It is not a live figure and does not change until the project is measured again.
  • Measured at commit 6b5b6d1e7851eed17ae70305dddab4c709c27212 — the exact code this score is about.
  • Scored under rubric-2026.09.18 — the same rubric and the same method as every other entry in this index.
