What this system is
This system is a B4J Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides tooling for navigating, managing, and running B4J applications. It enables code analysis, module creation, and atomic edits, while also offering runtime process tracking and log management. The project itself utilizes an auto-incrementing build versioning system.
Features
B4J project navigation, module management, and runtime process tracking
This update introduces several new capabilities for the B4J MCP server. Code navigation is enhanced with \b4j\_outline\ and \b4j\_find\_symbol\ tools that parse B4J source files to list Sub, Type, and Global declarations, including support for Class\_Globals and module-name definitions. Project structure management now includes \b4j\_create\_module\ for adding new class or code modules and updating the project file, as well as \b4j\_multi\_edit\ for atomic search-and-replace operations on source files. The \b4j\_read\_bas\ tool now supports offset and limit parameters for sliced reads of large modules. Runtime management is improved with \b4j\_run\ gaining \forceBuild\, \configuration\, and \obfuscate\ options, and the addition of \b4j\_stop\, \b4j\_tail\_log\, and \b4j\_list\_processes\ tools to track and manage running B4J application processes via a new ProcessRegistry. Additionally, \b4j\_write\_layout\ now validates layout JSON against Designer/runtime requirements and returns warnings, and \b4j\_add\_view\ allows adding fully-formed views to layouts. The server also exposes its version via \b4j\_doctor\ and \b4j\_get\_config\.

Dependencies
Introduce auto-incrementing build versioning
The project now imports a Version.props file to manage versioning, enabling an auto-incrementing build number for each compilation.

About this page
- The score is its most recent published measurement, taken on 20 September 2026 at a pinned commit. It is not a live figure and does not change until the project is measured again.
- Measured at commit 9d4cb74aefa08b50a05403bbce82c122dbd89e9d — the exact code this score is about.
- Scored under rubric-2026.09.15 — the same rubric and the same method as every other entry in this index.
